The love story angle was a bit cliche. I loved the diverse cast and the way the main character’s culture was infused into the story. I really wanted to know what was going to happen with Boogie’s career.

The movie was good. I felt like it was really slow at some points in the movie, and too fast at other times. Not really giving pertinent information and backround store line, but the story was good.

Refreshing and interesting

It’s nice to see a coming of age, sports movie that doesn’t fall into the obvious feel-good clichés. The push and pull of family issues especially given the layering of ethnicity made it seem more realistic. Well done for a first film. Will definitely recommend it!
