It is a sweet coming of age movie. The actors were terrific and the movie follows the book for the most part. Having read the book when I was younger I would have loved to see more of the books plot. But a great viewing experience overall.

I was pleasantly surprised that I enjoyed it so much. Found myself laughing quite often during the film.

An enjoyable, refreshingly direct film that deals with coming of age issues and family life in the suburbs. This film was well acted and produced and I especially enjoyed the musical score from the 1970’s!

It was good but I would have liked to seen what happened after getting her period, what religion, if any, did she choose, Margaret as an adult, etc.
