great movie regarding regular Chinese people (not stereo type Chinese) live in NY

Boogie tells an important story that doesn't get told in American cinema. I love seeing asian americans playing leading roles with complex personalities. It was shot beautifully and captured NY well. I did wish certain plot points were fleshed out a bit more. Such as the scenes where they discuss Catcher in the Rye, and how our schools are still choosing to teach with only the white cis male student in mind.

A coming of age story that has its complexities like most coming of age stories.

Boogie was a good movie that highlighted how you never know the struggles your going through with a person and how people can use you for their benefits instead of you doing what you want to do because yohh up only have one life
