The movie was a nice romance movie. It was nice to see a powerful black female working in the entertainment business as a producer during the time of the movie. I would recommend to my friends.

It was sweet and romantic and nostalgic. I loved all the actors in it but especially Eva Longoria.

Just what I needed in these stressful times, a sweet love story with black folks

Although the story could have been stronger, in my opinion, I really enjoyed this film! I especially loved the attention to detail to the period; I actually love films from that era, and the director did a great job getting the aesthetic right with costumes and set design, but ESPECIALLY the right music that made it feel just like a movie from that era! I love "Paris Blues" so I enjoyed the parallels! I'm also glad this wasn't bogged down by trite racism tropes–it's our reality BUT it doesn't dictate our humanity and we have many stories like this that aren't usually shown on film. Kudos!!
