This film follows one girl's struggle with adolescence while moving to a new neighborhood. In contrast to its subject matter, the film is often quite funny, although usually at the characters' expense.\rHowever, making children the subject of mockery, especially about topics which may cause them some anxiety, may make the film less relatable to young viewers.

It’s the movie to see in a theater with a group of women! I don’t think I’ve ever seen a pad on the big screen before. I loved the book and felt the adaptation was wonderful. The screening was so well organized and I wish I had gotten some of the merch. Thank you!

Heartfelt, relatable and wonderful cast. Abby Ryder Fortson is great as Margaret and so is Rachel McAdams as her mother. Look for a cameo from author Judy Blume.

Cute, coming of age film. Well-acted and interesting.
