Better the second time around.

It's way too much like a superhero film. And the editing at the beginning pretty bad. The ending is really fan-serving which have good side and bad side. Doesn't feel too much like a horror movie or thriller movie. The acting is really good. Especially Rebecca and Jacob.

Strong first half, but a boring second half. The character concepts were interesting, but a lot of the characters lacked good dialogue and overall just did not feel fully fleshed out.

There wasnt enough of the original hotel and characters from The Shining and it lacked Kubrick's artistry.
