Ridiculous - especially toward the end.

If you are going to go to the trouble of making this movie, why do it half way? You are telling me there were no Asian actresses that could have been used for a character that was mostly monotone throughout the whole movie? This is even more insulting when we find out the major's origin in the third act! This was a waste of time, and offensive, just watch the anime.

This is a very slow paced and dull movie. The audience is never given a chance to connect with the characters so eventually you don't care about the story. It feels like a lot of material that was rushed and therefore leaves the audience behind.

With all the hype, I found the substance rather disappointing.
