Its very relevant. I particularly liked how they highlighted the class issue in society, that a crisis like covid will expose and heighten the significance of being a have or have not. And highlighted to what level the police state grew. I think its unrealistic that the 2 girls saved would have been saved in real life. but its ok to romanticize it in a movie because we know that in real life they would not have been saved.
