I liked the story overall. I thought it was well developed and I liked that some issues still remain unresolved at the end. I wish that they spent a bit more time on character development in regards to Walid. I liked his character but I wanted to fall in love with him and just couldn’t quite get there. I felt that Frank fell a bit flat as well. It was an average film that had potential for greatness.

I enjoyed the film. It had both laughter and times I wanted to cry. Uncle Frank taught his niece a lesson that he had to eventually embrace himself.

First, thank you to Amazon Studios for offering me a free screening.\r\rI had never heard of the film nor knew what to expect. I'm so glad that I got the chance to watch this film. It highlighted a topic that is often still taboo and not accepted in society.\r\rCasting for the characters with lesser known actors, at least for me, was actually refreshing and did well in this film. Steve Zahn I was familiar with but had a lesser speaking role. I would give 4 stars overall for script and acting. This movie in the end was touching but seemed a bit rushed to finish. All of a sudden, family accepts him.
