I liked this movie because of Ruth and Ira's love story... "I LOVE you so much, I want you to be HAPPY , even without me" ...

I'm a 50 year old father and took my two teenager daughters to this (go figure - Nicholas Sparks) and was dreading it but I'm somewhat embarrassed to say I liked it - a lot. I loved the Ira and Ruth characters, both past and present (Alan Alda did a fabulous job). Luke and Sophia were somewhat predictable but fun to watch. The 90 seconds of partial butt and boob scenes weren't necessary.

good and enjoyable

It was a very good movie. I was pleasantly surprised with the second story line that was interwoven into the movie.
