Very candid, honest and interactively touching. Mary shows and allows a vulnerability that we have obly gotten at her shows. Great biopic.

First off hands down this was a very well put together documentary‼️ You can just feel MJB Energy she poured her heart out in this & not to mention I can relate to what she’s gone through because I’ve experienced it myself… Her music has really gotten me through a dark period in my life!!!

This documentary brought me back to my years as a teenager when I'd listen to the likes of Jodeci, Boyz 2 Men, Shai, Silk, and of course Mary J. It was interesting when Mary J. watched her old interviews and songs and got nostalgic, sort of like me. It's a known fact that Mary J. had a rough upbringing and that was a major influence in her songs but I liked the way the documentary weaved that in with animation and photo montages. This documentary did a great job of getting other voices to contribute from the likes of Puff Daddy, Nas, Method Man, Tyler Perry (my fav), and Alicia Keys.
