Acting, cinematography and score were great. Unfortunately between the accents and the Shakespearean language, I didn't understand most of the dialogue. But the acting was powerful enough to get the main jist of what the movie was about, so I still enjoyed it.

The cinematography was very well done. The scene transitions reminded me of the stage play. The language was true to its original script. I understood the plot of the movie only because I am already familiar with the play. I think someone who has never been exposed to Shakespeare's language would get lost in translation.

Photography was incredible as was the soundtrack. However the gore was way too over the top for my taste

I thought the performances were amazing. Shakespeare tragic tale of greed for power was well told. Michael fassbender brilliantly portrayed Macbeth's quick decent into madness. Marion cotiliard was equally as amazing as lady Macbeth.
