Truly enjoyable - nice love story.

man, tessa thompson had the continental accent DOWN.\r\rif you love old romantic films/stories from the 50s, this is for you. i know i'll be watching this over and over once it's released. an instant favorite!\r\ri'm SOOOOOOOO excited to have folks that look like me in a "classic" romantic film. this explosion of black-centric media of ALL genres...what a time to be alive!!

Great chemistry between the actors. It showed the beauty of the jazz era and genre. Even if you were not born in the era, it made you long for a time that was once deemed as antiquated living, i.e. pre-coronavirus and the joys of gatherings. It evoked emotions that would naturally come from selfish decision making, but in the end love covered a multitude of wrongs.

Good story line, good character development.
