Even though I remember well the era of Bobby Fisher, I didn't remember the political implications that this movie brings out. Watching his metal deterioration during his rise to world championship kept suspense on a high level. Cuts from actual news clips at the time as well as the brief follow up of his life at the end contributed to the authenticity. Genius and madness are always appealing.

Very, very interesting. Slow, but to be expected from a movie that is all about chess. Would recommend!
