“Honey Don’t” feels like an unfinished film that needed more time to develop its story and characters. Despite a strong cast, the roles lack depth, and the plot veers into incoherence. The sex scenes and gratuitous over the top violence add little, and Chris Evans is miscast as the preacher. The highlight was the inventive opening credits, which proved more engaging than the film itself. Ultimately, it plays like a rough draft rather than a fully realized Coen Brothers project.
