Really boring movie. Fell asleep on it. Acting is good but storyline not so much. Not sure who the target audience is: too complicated for kids and too boring for adults.

I wanted to love this movie. Love the director, actors and the original book. But this movie just felt like a mess. It was definitely intended for children but didn’t have much in there that adults would also enjoy. As well, as a child of the age that would be watching this I don’t think I would have enjoyed it even then. It felt “dumbed down for children.”
