It was a great movie and I could relate to his struggles, but the ending could use some work.

It was much more dramatic than I thought it would be. I enjoyed the movie. The actors and the premise of the story. The themes they tried to address were timely. I also appreciated that that black girl was from the islands and was another type of 1st generation Black America. It felt authentic to the culture without exploiting it. I loved that the Asian characters were flawed and crush the cinematic stereotypes usually attributed to them. I am looking forward to watching this movie again with closed captioning so I can catch some of the Dialog o surely missed.

An look at NYC Chinese American life—an unusual view we don’t get often. A little crude, but maybe it’s appealing to a different demographic than me.
