I think the movie was confused to be recognized like just a little more blood or scary monsters but for a minute I thought I was watching a goose bumps movie from Nickelodeon but it was good brought back old clips from the other movies

The premise, acting, and music were very good, although the music seemed out of place sometimes. Some of the situations were cheesy, and the Jack Torrance that was not Jack Nicholson completely took me out of the story. It was totally unnecessary. Otherwise, the casting for the previously done characters worked pretty well.

Very fun sequel that balanced old and new elements

I was such a big fan of The Shining that I had higher expectations for this movie. I felt the storyline was a little bizarre and maybe too much of an effort to be too modernized. I would have loved a cameo appearance with Jack Nicholson personally. I didn’t dislike it enough to not recommended it but it didn’t quite live up to my hopes and expectations.
