It's nice to see a film with Mandarin and showing the conflict between traditional Chinese and Chinese-American mores. The film shows that Chinese Americans also try to break out of the stereotypes about them.

A film that creatively captures the racial and cultural tensions existing in today's American society. Blunt and honest with a realistic heart.

Movie was gritty and gave a real perspective into his life. Show real life in regards to what happens when parents stay together for the kid and how adults can be. The life choices they make and the pressure his parents place on to him. It's cycle of decisions that brought them to where they are. And that asian families are not always the ideal family but have the same struggles as any other.

It was good thought the ending was weak.
