I think the movie captured that period nicely . It was refreshing to see that even though it was in an era that was racially prejudice, an aspiring black woman was able to be successful in her endeavors despite challenges & being pregnant .The actors were also pleasant , considering they were unknown mainstream . I like movie ...held my attention .

I enjoyed this period romance with a jazz theme.\rNice to see a wonderful film that has black actors but without an overt black theme but instead a universal one.

I really enjoyed this film. It was a romantic comedy with enough twists to make it interesting. And Sylvie and Robert were really likable characters, so I cared what happened to them.

4.5 stars\rA beautiful film with solid performances. The connection and passion between Sylvie and Robert is believable and a joy to watch. It is a story of true love because they both did not want the other to sacrifice their dreams for the other. Seemed a bit off around the timing of some scenes. The scenes and soundtrack were superb. The montage at the end worked, it was delightful as was the whole film.
