\rParts of the film were confusing chronologically. At times the film appeared to be going off tangent in an esoteric vein.\r\rThe film would have been much better if it had stuck to Marie Curies’ life as a clear theme/story.

A story well worth telling through a clever narrative structure, though awkwardly edited, paced, and scored. There are moments of real vision and brilliance - I wish there had been more of that. Nonetheless, I appreciated seeing Marie Curie's story being told by a female director and embodied in this performance by Rosamund Pike.

I would recommend the film for people interested in historical and important people. The acting was strong but I did find the story a bit light and the flow slow. I would have liked to see more about Madam Curie and her life as a rare female scientist of stature - there were a few scenes like the one after her husband went to Sweden to accept the Nobel Prize but not enough about what a strange world to work in, fight for respect in. I wish it hadn’t focused so much on the love story - more on her accomplishments. The scenes in the Cleveland hospital, dropping of the nuclear bomb seemed off
