a bit too slow for a musician's movie

It depends. The movie was dense, with so many clips of various phases. This never changed. The tone was so even and the style so consistent, I grew less interested. In a typical documentary - even regarding a subject about which I know little-to-nothing - the way the material is presented piques my curiosity, if not interest, to learn more, understand more, and get a fuller, more complete picture. I didn't feel this with Sparks. I'm not sure what its contribution was other than it was a quirky band that has made multiple albums. Audiophiles know who they are, but I'm not sure what else.
