It felt as if it was an extension of Stanley Kubrick’ The Shining but trying to make amends to Stephen King for changing the original text in 1980. The conclusion seemed a bit cheesy for us like the ending of a lifetime movie. Nevertheless, strong performances from all the actors, great homages to the original film, and I would personally give this film a B-.

While the first two thirds of the film were strong I felt as though the final act borderlines a cheap remake of The Shining. The easter eggs scattered throughout the movie were nice but having so many shots copied and pasted from Kubrick's film felt like a cash grab.
