Robert Pattinson was amazing in this movie! The story was witty and world was unique and interesting. It was surprisingly charming and had heart.

There were certainly parallels between Mickey 17 and Bong Joon-Ho's other English language films. The Creepers may have seen the same fate as the Okja (2017) if not for the wonders of corporate greed and political stupidity. Mickey 17 is fun and weird. Every actor is firing on all cylinders, and Robert Pattinson plays both Mickeys so differently they were visually distinct. There were a few big laughs throughout the film, but in terms of a lasting response this would have been more impactful if they leaned a bit more into the satire that was there, but lightly

Mickey 17 is a fun and thought-provoking sci-fi movie, and what a great performance by Robert Pattinson, he nailed it at his role. The film leans heavily into political satire, which feels a bit overdone at times but adds a unique, funny twist to the story. While it wasn’t exactly what I expected, the mix of humor, sci-fi, and Pattinson’s acting made it enjoyable. I’d give it a solid 4 out of 5 stars. It’s not perfect, but it’s definitely worth watching!
