Absolutely loved this movie! So well done! I loved seeing a story about Latin American people without gangs and guns and crime. I’m so tired of how we are stereotyped. But this movie ... the story brought back memories of when I was growing up in Union City, the people, the bodega, the dreams...thank you for this experience!

It was wonderful! The music was amazing! The actors did a great job! I laughed, I cried, and I was moved. I have not been in a movie theater since February of 2020, but I will be taking my hubby to see this one. I can’t wait to see the dancing and hear the music in a theater setting. The song about the bandera had me in tears de orgullo! This is our generation’s West Side Story!

I love this musical, so was a little nervous about the movie remake, but MY OH MY was it even more wonderful than I could have imagined! The restructuring of the storyline was excellent for the movie to make it even more relevant and poignant for the 2020s. Wow! Marvelous!

The vibrant life of the heights painted from start to finish in this movie. And as BIPOC I cannot tell you how much this resonates with me. Thank you for showing the beauty of this hard life.
