Great performances from Ruth Wilson, ewen Macgregor, and the young Star as well. Scary and fun. Not fair to compare it The Kubrick film but a very Stephen King feeling Movie.

Spooky, exciting new take on The Shining. Ewan McGregor is a strong lead with a lot of heavy lifting and Rebecca Furgeson plays the villain deliciously. Still, there were times it dragged and I wanted more of the truly scary hotel scenes from the original, but overall very well done.

The movie didn't pick up until the end and I wanted to like it more than I actually did.There were too many holes, jumps, and scenes that went too long for my liking. While the first couple of twists at the end were great, I was over it after the next few. It was ok movie, good even at the end, but it relied too heavily on its predecessor.

Well done and provided a great experience for the fans.
