I'm not sure if I would tell someone to buy a ticket to see this movie, but it would be a movie that I would watch on a week day night on Netflix.

It was just like any other street/gang/drug film. There wasn’t anything really unique about it. It seemed more like a documentary. More than likely I wouldn’t see it again.

There are many "take aways" . One for everybody that sees it. I enjoyed it very much until the ending. The end was just blah. Maybe even finishing it with some statistics on drug and gun use at the time or since would have given me something more to think about afterward.

Good tragic story and acting. Loved seeing Bruce Dern back on screen.
