Great acting! We could have done without the tattoos and the rather abrupt ending, though overall an enjoyable film,

Riz Ahmed was excellent as was the incredible use of sound editing and mixing to truly highlight how Ruben hears or doesn't hear the world.

I didn't like it at the beginning and I found it a bit annoying. But, as his journey and desperation progressed, I could see and understand how it felt to lose something so vital. It felt like he'd lost himself and he had to find his way back to who he really is.

Very interesting movie. Having worked in the deaf community, I wonder how they would feel about this movie. The sound distortions, from what I have heard about, seemed to be fairly realistic. I really have no words for this feeling. I was proud of Ruben for learning and growing, but also completely understand his desire to go back to "normal." Much like what we are living in today, I fear that we may not ever know what "normal" is anymore and will need to learn to grow in this new way of life without the need to continually "look back." \rThought provoking film Thank you.
