It was just so weird but like not in a good way. Idk this was just not for me. I didn’t get the point of the existence of this movie

Based on the poster and the description, I was expecting this movie to be more of a horror/comedy. However, it felt like it was trying to be horror/drama, but failed pretty miserably. It was just cheesy, not scary or suspenseful at all. I was pretty disappointed in it overall.

I LOVE the book, and thought this adaptation was pretty middle of the road. Understandably, they had to leave some darker parts of the book out of the film. This is would be great entry horror for younger people, but as an adaptation it's mediocre at best.
