A lot of positives. A few negatives. After Sylvie and Robert reconnect, when she shows him the photo of Michelle, that's when Sylvie should have come clean with him about his daughter. \r\rWhen Robert goes to find work in Detroit, and it doesn't pan out, he should have come clean with Sylvie about it. \r\rSome clarification as to how much times passes is only stated in the beginning with the "five years later"\rHowever, extened periods of time go by in the characters lives after that, a description of 9 months later or 18 months later or (you insert number) later etc would help solidify time passin

I enjoyed the sweetness of the film and the fact that despite it being a period piece set in the late-50s and early ‘60s, racism was not centered in a story about Black people. \r\rI do think the part about Sylvie chasing after Robert in the end was disappointing. It would’ve been refreshing to see a man humble himself and fight for love instead of a woman doing the sacrificing.

I thought the movie was good, wasn’t a big fan of the ending but I am glad they added in the additional scenes during the credits. I really enjoyed the actor’s chemistry and it wasn’t super predictable.
