Mickey 17, the character, was fun to follow along on the story of the Mickeys. I liked the friends he made along the way. There were a lot of good characters. An overall good scifi movie. I've been missing those.

This satirical sci-fi film blends sharp political allegory with ethical dilemmas, following Mickey Barnes, an expendable worker on a distant colony who is repeatedly cloned after death. The movie touches on themes of cloning, colonization, and political oligarchies, using dark comedy to explore these concepts. While the satire is strong, it occasionally overshadows the ethical complexities of human replication, and the horror of Mickey’s deaths isn’t fully explored. The visuals, pacing, and overall engagement make for a thrilling, though occasionally shallow, experience. Final verdict: 8/10.

I loved Mickey 17 and thought the performance by Robert Pattinson was creatively unique, and the writing & direction by Bong Joon-Ho was phenomenal, and true to the storyteller we know and love him as.
