I loved the monster fights, but if I had to choose one thing to change it would be the annoying family that was made the main focus of the movie. The mom being a villain could’ve played really well if she wasn’t crying the whole time and the dad just seemed way too generic. More Godzilla next time. The whole tone felt less serious than the first movie, in a bad way, tone down the jokes/one liners.

Fans of Godzilla will like this movie - especially since you get to see the other Monarch monsters. But the story was wonky and unrealistic (for example: you're going to send Ken Watanabe into a nuclear zone - shouldn't you send a real soldier to do that - aren't they trained for pain and suffering more than a scientist???) And where was King Kong? I was expecting him to make an appearance.

Beautiful scenes. Action and story good. Entertaining. Great for fans knowledgeable about Godzilla history.

It was a pretty good movie. The plot got a little jumbled and it was way too long but other than that, it was a good throwback to a Godzilla movie.
