Detroit is a moving experience that brings you into history, allowing you to relive the horrors and unbelievable violence that ensued in 1960's Detroit. The acting was amazing, as well as an appropriate amount of comic relief in such a emotionally-strung movie. Highly recommend!

This was an incredibly moving piece. Slow to get going at first. I wasn't sure if we would be introduced to characters and a story or if it was just going to be scenes of riots for the entire film. The scenes at the hotel were devastating, and incredibly relevant even today. I think everyone should go see this movie to educate themselves on the hardship black people have faced & still face today.

I thought the movie was really really well done but having said that, it was a hard movie to watch. It is an important story to get out there, and I must have been one of the few people who didn't know about it. I would definitely even go back to see it again.
