Very moving and informative story about one of the early fights leading to recognition of the right for gays and lesbians, like their heterosexual counterparts, to get married and enjoy all the civil benefits (like the pension in the movie) thereof.

The movie is great. While I found the performances Oscar-worthy (Ellen Page, especially), I found the pacing of the film as a whole a bit clunky in parts Steve Carell's character provided some unnecessary comic relief (though I confess, I know "that guy" in my social circles). It's a tad anti-climactic however, with the final resolution coming what seemed too easy. Still made me cry though!

Great acting and story. Took a little while to get going but very good one it did.

I thought it was a beautiful movie that portrayed both deep beauty and sadness.
