It was entertaining enough, but it would have been nice if they would have figured out what type of movie it was before filming. Music movie? Romance? Comedy? A-Ha music video? Serious? It was very straight forward, but not much to it.

If you like Zach Efron, you will like the movie. Found the story a little slow but I did enjoy the chemistry between the actors.

It was an enjoyable movie that left me wanting to know more about Cole's family, parents and background. The story about the struggle of a group of friends to get out of the valley (San Fernando) resonated about Tony Manero's struggle to escape to Manhattan in Saturday Night Fever. In the same manner, the shrimp of the San Fernando "friends", Squirrel lost his life like Billy C. in SNF.

I loved the music kept my feet tapping the whole movie. I do not like drug scenes but overall the movie was good. I enjoyed it.
