I was hoping to learn more about her life, her work, but I wanted more. It would have been better had there been more information about how old she was at different stages in her life documented in the film. When she remarried under the condition they didn't have sex with each other, did they both stop having sex with others? What was their relationship like? Why did her leg need to be amputated? Why was she in bed and not in a chair? I felt myself drifting, nodding off at times. I liked the photographs, and footage.

Good film, liked that it was composed of diary entries and was more personal for it. The animation was nice but the filmmakers could have gone much further with it, had less repetition of images. Still, very enjoyable and informative to who Frida Kahlo was and her views of the world around her.

The documentary, while beautifully illustrated by Frida's work, seemed to focus more on Frida's husband & well known artist, Diego Rivera more than her own personal story. It lacked in many areas.

I like wes anderson but this film felt more like an overdoing/parody on his own work. i had fun, regardless.
