The lead actors Tessa Thompson and Nnamdi Asomugha gave phenomenal performances that convincingly displayed passionate chemistry. The screenplay and direction by Eugene Ashe expressed rhythmic qualities that were sweepingly romantic and harmonized well with its melodic jazz score. A lovely film that I will revisit and recommend to others upon release this holiday season.

A nice black romance drama set in the 1950s with relevant social themes and commentary. Great performances and screen chemistry from its starring leads. Beautiful musical score with stellar costume and production design!
