The movie was just ok. It was a little cliche - angsty teens reading poetry, one of them has a secret hideout, etc. I found that I was ready for it to end 20 minutes before it actually ended. I needed to have some cheerful spots, yet I didn't feel bad for any of the characters, which is what I believe I was supposed to feel. I really do think teens will like this for the romance. I did like that the sex scene felt more realistic than most teen movies.

It was a little slow. I love watching Lili Reinhart. Austin Abrams was a good actor, but I didn’t sense chemistry. I enjoyed the book.\rMy wish was that the screening had closed captions.

An earnest film, seemed to be trying for realism but to me didn't have the truly honest feel of some other recent movies that depicted teen life better (e.g., Ladybird).

Good story. Hope it will help some of your young people out there.\r\rWish the watermarks were less intrusive and the video did not stop for long periods of time and frequency.
