awesome! a cultural phenomenon! Captivating, relevant, and a must see!

Fantastic Adaptation of the original Broadway musical. I want to watch it again and again, please let me watch it again.

I remember going to see the play as a young girl with my sisters and mother. I was move beyond moved to the point that I wanted to jump out of my chair and dance. I wasn’t sure a motion picture version would be able to capture that same feeling. After seeing the film I am beyond excited. Not only do I feel the film was authentic but it made me proud to be Latina. 5 stars I’m still dancing.

This is undoubtedly one of the best musical movies ever made and my new favorite live action film. It does NOT stray away from being a cheesy musical and it does such a beautiful job respecting the original production and being a completely different beast at the same time. I cannot wait to watch this again.
