I appreciate what the filmmakers were going for trying to make a new surprising rom com while making a farce of old tropes, & in casting a more every girl leading lady in the funny Rebel Wilson, however the writing is really awful in places (the best analogy they can come up with for noticing a diamond in the rough is parking garages. Really?) Also was offended by the continued fat jokes.

The concept is solid and the acting is fantastic...still feels a bit awkward. I noticed that besides the big musical numbers, it is oddly quiet. The film felt as though it was not quite finished for some reason.I would recommend this to see if someone loves Rebel Wilson. message of film seemed a bit muddled...not being open does not equal not loving yourself...

It was cute and funny, but seemed like the first or second draft of what could've been a better film.

It's a funny parody on the romantic comedy genre, but the joke can only go so far for an entire feature length film. I found Liam Hemsworth hilarious, but a lot of the jokes were way too over the top to be funny.
