This movie was awesome! Award winning I am sure. Very inspiring to see what one man with convictions can accomplish in the midst of extreme pressure. I give it 5 stars.

This is one of the best movies I have seen in a long time. I have told poeple that this is a must see movie.

Hacksaw Ridge brought me to tears watching the struggle and the faithfulness of Private Doss. His leadership and particularly his leading others to God was uplifting and inspirational. Mel Gibson, as usual, provided stunning settings, characters and relationships with depth, poignancy and relevance. The violence was difficult to watch after the first battle; however, I get that is the reality.

I like the childhood years in the beginning it helps with explaining things that are happening as adults in war. The action was more then expected and as a retired military man I did tear up at times. Most people can't imagine the tenseness of everyday surviving. Then there's the cruelty of man against man. A great movie for adults, I was glad to see the "R" rating. A job well done to all.
