I really liked this movie, but you should be a boxing fan as well as a fan of sad drama's. Pretty sure that is a small niche market. Forest Whitaker was really good in the roll as the coach and Jake Gyllenhaal successfully pulled off a slightly punch drunk fighter. Overall a well rounded movie.

I truly enjoyed this movie... It kept things real.

Southpaw was a great and touching film. It pulls on your heart strings with the relationship between Jake's character "Billy Hope" and his daughter. It's such a loving relationship that by the end of the film you're cheering for Billy. Overall it was a really great and enjoyable film that I'd love to own on bluray when it comes out.
