Gray it's a great feel-good movie to take a daughter to or a girls night out

I came out of this movie feeling all good and uplifted and ready for a very Merry Christmas. Is there an alternate ending to movie that is not so rushed that explains the missing year again without her daughter and continued success at creating her own company? Would love to see this on the digital release.

I love this movie it would have been a little bit better if she would have kept her job at the Firm
