Excellent, touching and real.

Amazing performances, writing, & direction stand out in this small indie summer gem. Pittsburgh, PA is the backdrop for Greg's watershed senior year, which serves as a catalyst for everything this little film tries to accomplish: retelling Greg's coming of age whilst paying homage to foreign films, teen angst (80's Demme style), & amateur/student films as well as animation and stop action. Great!

I thought it was sweet and funny and sentimental. I didn't love it as much as everyone at sundance apparently did, but it was a good night out.

Good message. A bit slow at times.
