I had mixed feelings on this movie. I liked how it made you think of childhood and how growing up is difficult, and many people don't keep that childish fun side of them as they get older, which is tragic. However, I didn't like any of the characters, all of them were awful except the nanny. One thing that makes a movie great is relatable and wonderful characters, which i didn't feel this film had

I'm on the fence about it. The acting was great; Domhnall Gleeson really brought you along as his mental state developed through the film, and Will Tilston was fantastic as the eight-year-old title character. But the story is too much cheap manipulation--there's something of a "flash forward" at the beginning that's designed to deceive you. As a result, much of the emotional impact is cheapened.

Beautifully filmed, well-cast, though slight story about the loss of innocence and regret surrounding A.A. Milne's life and his familial writing inspiration.
