I liked the peak into the modern inner city teenage world. Not to mention the Chinese culture. I thought Boogie was a character that you start to hate, then secretly root for, and finally fall in love with. There is allot of depth to the story and the characters are believable and consistent. I felt it was inspirational but could have done without the foul language. But if that's a true depiction of what kids are like today, then I get it.

The characters were well developed, but I felt like there was something missing. I got that Boogie was a product of his culture, but would have liked to have seen more about that culture conflict in his relationship with the girlfriend. Maybe? Otherwise, I enjoyed the movie and felt that it kept my attention the entire time.
