Concidering our current pandemic situation thisnkovie will either create a greater paranoia as to what could be, or it will create a greater awareness. The events of the movie reminded me of a WWII type scenario. With Natzis vs Jews, in this case it's immune vs the NON immune. The movie had a very predictable script. However, I think what disappointed me was that I expected more light works and explosions in the true Michael Bay fashion. With that said, it was a nice romantic drama that satisfied my anxiety because of how close to home it hit in seeing the loved ones and neighbors being collected!

We really enjoyed the movie. It felt like something that is best appreciated when watched at home, especially because the premise hits close to home with COVID-19. It starts with a generous heaping of worldbuilding that lasts a little too long and slows down the movie at the beginning as you wait for the revelation that someone's sick in the building to come to light. Songbird doesn't rush its conclusion, but it draws it out to build dread. All of the actors and actresses were excellent, and while not every storyline was fleshed out to the extreme, they all had a faint interconnecting plot that helped carry them together. The premise for the movie also would have been a wild television series if it developed all the storylines more.

I really enjoyed the movie. I liked that it moved pretty fast and the story made sense, unlike a lot of suspenseful films. KJ Apa and Sofia Carson were great, and the supporting cast was fantastic, especially Peter Stormare and Paul Walter Hauser. I would like to have seen a little more of Craig Robinson, but who wouldn't?
