Started innocently enough and after the first minute, it was action, drama, suspense, tearful, and emotionally heartfelt all in a 2 1/2 hour movie. Very well directed and produced. The war scenes were 100% class act. This should be a must see for any history buff!

It was a bit gruesome at times, but Mel Brooks seem to add a lot of color and pain and actual truths to his movies. He is a great director/producer. Was not happy about the seating. We were there half hour before the start of the movie and it was practically full with the exception of the very 1st row which made it a bit hard on our eyes and necks. I usually like to sit mid ways up the theatre.

It was the most realistic "based on a true story" movie that I have seen to date. Truly extraordinary! A must see for the adult audience.
