The actors’ performances were amazing. I did not expect as much singing and a more developed storyline for Lee and less singing would have been amazing.

Very different experience than the first Joker movie which isn’t necessarily a bad thing but changed the mood as a viewer. I was expecting more action and it seemed as if the narrative was very limited.

It had many parts drag longer than they felt as though they needed to, and it made the overall film feel unfocused (in the filmmaking sense, not in the sense of connecting us to Arthur's mental state). I was also surprised by the quantity of musical numbers. I generally enjoy musicals, but some of them felt a bit forced or out-of-place(?) I am not sure how much of that was just having my expectations set wrong by the trailer. Overall, it felt like a good story that 1) could have been told better, and 2) maybe would have worked better with characters who weren't the Joker and Harley Quinn.

I liked that it was less violent and had less swear words than the other films.
