The film was well acted with several interesting characters. The story is familiar since it is a remake of an older film. I found it to be very violent, at times unnecessarily so. Because the rating was PG-13, there were several young children in the audience. That was uncomfortable for me.

Great cast, lots of action and all around good movie. Once I got home had to look up the original 1960 movie to see who was in it and refresh my memory of the movie. Great western and would recommend to see.

Westerns are a genre that you can't particularly do anything NEW with without adding another radically different genre (sci-fi, fantasy, etc.) So then what's left for a new western to do?They have to do what the Magnificent Seven did. Solid storytelling. Solid Actors and Acting. Solid action. The movie was just plain enjoyable. It excelled at everything it did and didn't drag on or overstay its welcome. Just a great action western at it its core.Bravo!
